Ukrainian startup PassivDom (Passive House Ukraine) has developed a line of autonomous, self-learning, mobile houses using 3D-printing techniques and advanced materials. Dubbed modulOne, each of the autonomous houses is designed and built to be fully functional off grid with solar panels, batteries, heating, water storage, purification and independent sewage. Whether you have one of these houses setup inside or outside of civilization, it’s also filled with all the creature comforts of a normal home like a functional bathroom, washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, wood floors and a remote house management/surveillance system. The 36 square meter modulOne is easily moved and doesn’t require a foundation for most installations. But wait, there’s more! The PassivDom autonomous house can be ordered zombie proof. The “Zombie Apocalypse” package takes the already awesome autonomous house and adds panel protection, armored glazing, a circular perimeter, increased toilet paper storage and a gift edition Bible (just in case). If you’re going to move to the middle of nowhere, you might as well be prepared for the worst.
