Plenty of people, us included, have joined that whole “cloud revolution” thing that people on the TV keep talking about. It’s super convenient to just put files in Dropbox and have them appear on every computer necessary–instead of having to copy it to a jump drive and physically move the damn file. But that doesn’t mean that having a physical hard drive is a bad idea. They store way more information for much cheaper. They backup all your important files to a medium you actually have control over. If the hard drive in question is this new Lacie Blade Runner number, it’s also a pretty interesting desk accessory. We think it looks more like a car radiator crashed on a three dimensional Rorschach, but apparently it was actually inspired by Blade Runner, hence the name. Regardless, it looks cool, and $300 for 4TB of space with 10GB cloud storage included isn’t a bad deal.
