At this point, there’s no denying the fact that Swedish-based furniture brand IKEA is on the cutting edge of all things furniture, style and even affordability these days. They’ve worked with insanely popular influencers, huge brands, famous designers, and even the e-Sports community to create everything from receipt rugs and pizza tables to AR apps and the stalwart yet easily-assembled pieces of furniture we’ve come to know and love. IKEA is adding to their already popular collection of bed linens and pillows with the FÄLTMAL, which is most basically described as a “quillow” because it’s an unassuming pillow that transforms into a full quilt at a moment’s notice. As they describe it, the FÄLTMAL is “A cushion/quilt that keeps you warm and comfy when traveling, relaxing in the hammock or cuddling up in the sofa. The genius, button fastening keeps it from sliding off when you reach for your coffee.” Made with a 100% nylon exterior and 100% polyester filling, the IKEA FÄLTMAL is the perfect movable seating location and combination exterior protective layer that is also machine-washable and tumble-dry when it gets dirty. What’s more, the fishnet pocket on the side can be used to keep things safe whether you’re wearing it as a quilt or using it as a cushion. The IKEA FÄLTMAL will be available in April of this year.
