This Custom Porsche Carrera GT Was Rebuilt from the Ground Up

To this day, the Porsche Carrera GT remains one of our favorite cars to ever come out of Germany. The award-winning and downright gorgeous vehicle is getting a new lease on life more than fifteen years later with a Porsche Classic reconstruction for one very lucky (and presumably, absurdly rich) customer. Swooping lines covered in an Oak Green Metallic paint from the 70s that was never available on the Carrera GT give way to five spoke magnesium wheels painted gold and surrounded by a rim ring covered in actual silver. It’s a car you know you want to own already, and we haven’t even gotten into the performance powertrain. Behind the cockpit is that same V10 engine with just north of 600 horsepower that was derived from a Formula 1 engine and excited automotive enthusiasts everywhere when it was first released. In order to get the vehicle into the condition you see here, Porsche completely disassembled it into its component parts and rebuilt it from scratch.
