2022 Bremach Taos

America doesn’t really need another soft crossover, but an affordable and tough body-on-frame SUV, we’ll take. The Bremach Taos one comes by way of Russia and is based on the UAZ Patriot that’s been battle-tested in Siberia, of all places. While the Taos will boast an upgraded interior, it still has the same off-road DNA that has made the Patriot beloved. The Taos will have 8.26 inches of ground clearance, which is a couple of inches shy of a Jeep Wrangler, and it will be able to ford nearly 20 inches of water. The engine is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder good for 150 horsepower, and it’s mated to a six-speed automatic that drives all four wheels. It will be marketed as a premium SUV, but the 2022 Taos starts at $26,405, which undercuts the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited by about five grand. It will go on sale in 2021.
