Rather than plunking down $990 to buy its Model One, you can simply pay a one-time $50 service fee and then $39 per month, which covers maintenance and insurance. Do it on an annual basis, and the monthly nut drops to $34. Keep in mind that you’re not getting some beater, either. The Model One looks good with its easy folding monochrome body and its integrated headlight and taillight. It has three driving modes from Beginner to Pro and goes up to 17 mph and has a range of up to 15.5 miles. In 4-5 hours, it’s fully charged and ready to take on your commute for less than the cost of a gas station cup o’ joe per day. Yippee ki-yay.
