The Bike Crate

Let’s admit it, the standard bicycle basket is not the manliest thing on the market. Functional? Yes, but so is a bell and that’s not exactly a smooth way of getting some bikini-clad woman’s attention down the shore now is it? Outside of a backpack, guy’s haven’t had a real option for transporting goods by bike. Now, would our first choice at a solution cost over $200, no, but it is a pretty sweet looking start. The Bike Crate from the Denmark company MAIK looks like a DJ turntable or record case strapped to the front of your two-wheeler. It trades the very feminine basket weave for a sleek black and chrome frame with see-through sides.  You might not be able to justify the price but, hey, at least it doesn’t look like something that matches a giant sun hat.
