Shanghai Customs Honda Cub Electric Conversion

The Honda Cub and Super Cub are some of the most produced motor vehicles in history, and they’ve been the focus of quite a few interesting conversions over the years. The Shanghai Customs Honda Cub Electric Conversion is a beautiful machine, but this build was about the brand trying to help with the inefficiencies and expenses of owning a motorcycle in China by producing an electric bike that’s as functional as its ebike counterparts while being built with significantly improved technology. The finished product, the Shanghai Customs eCub, is a sleek, mean-looking electric scooter decked out in black with a comfy seat, lack of visible cables, motorcycle-style throttle and 31 mile range at 31mph (they like to call it their 50:50 mark because it’s originally in km). Shanghai Customs is hard at work on version 2.0 of their eCub, along with prepping DIY conversion kits for international sale if you have an existing Honda Cub you’d like to convert yourself.
