There would be no bigger flex than displaying a genuine Tyrannosaurus Rex skull in your home. And if you’ve got $20 million lying around, you could. Sotheby’s is auctioning off Maximus Rex, a rare and massive T-Rex skull. The skull is mounted on an iron pedestal and clocks in at over 6.5 feet tall and weighs over 200 pounds. Fossil hunters uncovered the skull on private land in the Hell Creek Formation in Harding County, South Dakota. Impressively, the skull is in excellent shape and has been impeccably preserved. The live auction is scheduled for December 9th in New York and Maximus Rex is expected to fetch between $15,000,000 and $20,000,000.
