We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again–if we had to choose only one thing to eat for the rest of our lives it would be pizza. There are so many different variations, ingredients and flavor types that it’s a type of food that’s damn near impossible to get sick of. But getting that perfect, wood-fired Neapolitan style pizza at home without an incredibly expensive oven is difficult. Until now! Breville, maker of fantastic kitchen gadgets ranging from juicers to coffee grinders, has the solution with the recently revealed revealed the Smart Oven Pizzaiolo. Breville’s mission was to bring wood-fired style Neapolitan pizza complete with base charring, leopard spotting and perfectly melted mozzarella into your home with an appliance small enough to fit on a kitchen counter. After years of research, development and testing they were finally able to create an countertop oven that could reach 750-degrees and also generate the conductive, radiant and convective types of heat that brick ovens are known for. It also has a system of presets and algorithms to make cooking everything from pan and New York style, to thin & crispy or wood-fired, as easy as turning a dial. And since it knocks out a pie in an incredible two minutes, experimenting with different options is easy.
