When it comes to the inner workings of popular automobiles, cameras and other pieces of tech, there are few people shedding light on the entire process as much as Swiss artist Fabian Oefner does with this Cut-Up Series. The previously featured Cut-Up Series now includes a sliced-up and dissected Leica M6 Brass Rangefinder Camera rendered in two ways in a sculptural medium titled “Heisenberg Objekt No. III.” Composed of the native Leica M6 camera (sliced and diced, obviously), resin and brass, this sculpture that measures 20cm x 15cm x 11cm is equal parts display piece, technology study and effigy to all things modern. While this piece–much like Oefner’s other works–isn’t for sale, that doesn’t mean we can’t all appreciate his work and attention to detail.
