Brad, a beekeeper from the Pacific Northwest, founded the Cascadia Candle company as a use for all his beeswax, but he wanted to do something differently with his candles. Using topographical data from the nearby mountains, a high quality 3D printer and silicone molds, Cascadia Candles print absurdly detailed representations of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Hood using 100% pure beeswax. The topographically accurate candles measure 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 3.5″. And if you’re looking to recreate the phenomenon that is a volcanic eruption of Mt. Saint Helens, there’s a version that includes a case concrete base that beeswax “eruption tops” sit in.
