Founded by Jean-Denis Claessens, a graphic designer and car lover, and Edmond Thonnard, aka the multidisciplinary artist Pogo, After the Race captures the experiences of the cars themselves and turns them into pieces of automotive art you can hang on the wall. Using vintage Porsche hoods and doors as canvases, After the Race creates one of a kind paintings based on vehicles that ran historic races like Le Mans and 24 Hours of Daytona. Freshly painted they look great, but to be truly iconic they get a patina of race slag, oil, tire rubber and other top secret ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a piece to hang on the wall in the shop or the living room, you won’t do much better than an actual piece of a Porsche that’s also a unique piece of art.
