In addition to being arguably the greatest late-night restaurant chain in the nation, serving as an informal barometer for FEMA and having one of the most potentially infuriating menus out there because of all the options, the Waffle House is a goddamned American treasure. While the correct order is open for debate–we’re going scattered / smothered / covered / diced / chunked for the record–the restaurant’s track record makes sure every patron across it’s 2,100+ locations gets exactly what they’re looking for in standard diner fare. And now, that Waffle House consistency and flare has merged with the fine folks from Oconee Brewing Company to create the bacon-infused Red Ale known as Bacon & Kegs. The beer will be available at the brewery starting on December 18 in six packs and on draft, which will include growler fills of the beer.
