Craft beer is not solely an American movement. While the growth and creativity stateside is unmatched, other countries have a young and innovative movement of their own starting to bubble up. One of those countries is Sweden, and from the land of Ikea comes a collection of homebrew kits that combine the country’s design with their new love of boundary-pushing beer. The kits from Det Lilla Köksbryggeriet (“The Little Kitchen Brewery”) feature designs by the founders of the company with the help of illustrator Andreas Samuelsson, which give the kits a Swedish design feel. Ingredients are sourced from outside Stockholm, and you can choose from kits including just the basics—grain, hops, yeast—to ones with all your equipment as well. While the company’s store only ships to Sweden, the kits are starting to pop up in other shops around the world.
