Food comes up in Seinfeld pretty frequently, so it was only a matter of time before someone on YouTube cashed in. Lucky for the world, it was the series Binging with Babish, which seems to have the explicit objective of making us very fat. As part of his Seinfeld special, Andrew Rea, host of Binging with Babish, has picked different plot-centric foods from the sitcom to make himself. He introduces the food with clips, then breaks down the recipes as he makes the three recipes he’s selected. For Part 1, it’s the Soup Nazi’s wild mushroom soup, Elaine’s muffin tops, chocolate babka, and Jerry’s favorite, cinnamon babka. That the video title includes “Part 1” makes us hopeful more recipes are incoming, as there are other soups we want, calzones played a pretty important role in George’s time with the Yankees, and some fatty nonfat frozen yogurt would really hit the spot. In the meantime, make sure you check out Rea’s other creations, like his Cubano and the strudel from Inglorious Basterds.
