Dave Pollot is a NY-based artist that, like most of us, grew up painting on everything he could find. Unlike us, Pollot is actually really talented, so we doubt his parents yelled at him for his creations (ours were really just scribbles on the walls). Fast forward a bunch of years and Pollot had laid down his brush… until a trip to a thrift store and a joke about injecting some life into thrift store art. From Rebel fighters on Tauntauns in a winter scene and a Sharknado blazing across farmland, to ECTO1 parked in a field and a Lady Vader portrait, Pollot injects some much needed humor and culture into otherwise bland thrift store art.
