Classic Metal Albums Reimagined As 50’s Jazz Records

The Internet is filled with people doing modern, minimalist, retro or all together out there takes on iconic imagery. Brazilian artist Rafael Melandi isn’t the first person to make heavy metal records from the likes of Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Slayer and Judas Priest his focus, but his redesign of each of the band’s classic album covers through the lens of a 1950s jazz record is easily our favorite. The collection, Metazz, includes new imagery for ten different albums. We’d buy all these albums again if they had these covers.
