Fabian Oefner does some truly original and breathtaking work, such as his dismantled/exploded supercars like the Audi R8 and the Lamborghini Miura. His new ‘CutUp’ Series departs from the automotive and into the photographic. This video shows us his dedication to his craft wherein he takes vintage cameras, encases them in resin, pressurizes the contents remove any air, and then slices them up with a powerful band saw into cross sections. He then re-immerses them in resin and polishes the blocks to create visual feasts of the internals displayed in a way never seen before. This is one piece of artwork we’d love to see on our office desk.
