Based in Joshua Tree, California, J.L. Lawson & Co. is a generations-old family machine shop making everything from key carrying devices and tops, to decision making coins and games. Everything is durable, functional and downright gorgeous, which is why they remain one of the everyday carry shops every guy should know. Their latest creation takes all the quality, handmade care and attention to detail you’ve come to expect from all their products and turns it into a manually machined Damascus stainless ring called Off Grid. Yes, you read that correctly. The team has combined 440C and 302 stainless steels in the same sort of way that resulted in the Damascus steel material used in the manufacturing of bladed weapons. This means fantastic layered patterns that will continue to draw your eye and, more importantly, a ring that’s built to last forever. And because this is going to be a piece you’re going to treasure—whether you buy it for yourself or get it as a gift—it comes in a wool-lined walnut ring box.

Retro-Video-Game-Puzzle-IF2

We’ve long been obsessed with Things Organized Neatly, the Tumblr, Instagram account, and book that displays collections of items arranged in pleasing ways. It’s the reason we’re hard at work on this puzzle. When finished, the puzzle depicts a collection of retro video games and gaming systems aligned ever so perfectly. Each is made in the USA by the New York Puzzle Company and features original photography from artist Jim Golden. At 1000 pieces, it will put you to work for some time, but when you complete it you can use some puzzle glue and frame it on your wall. Out of chaos comes order, right?
