We were skeptics of the new Defender, but having finally driven it, we’re total converts. Too bad the sticker price exceeds our current budget, so we’ll have to settle for these awesome Defender Icon models created by the brand’s designer, Massimo Frascella. While they don’t have every detail from the real thing, they evoke the look in a truly artistic fashion and bring a bit of vintage Land Rover ethos into the mix. The chunky tires, headlights, bulging fender flares, and two-tone paint scheme are spot on, and the lack of door seams, badges, and finer details make it look more like a desktop sculpture than an SUV model.
