Scania AXL Autonomous Truck Concept

Scania is a major Swedish manufacturer of commercial vehicles like heavy trucks and buses that’s been doing their thing for over a century. Despite the fact we’ve never covered the brand in the past, they’ve kept on keeping on when it comes to future projects like the Scania AXL Autonomous Truck Concept you see here. Their latest development is a cab-less autonomous truck concept developed for construction sites. Here’s what the brand had to say–“In what is another milestone in the development of heavy self-driving vehicles, a group of Scania experts in different fields have teamed up and developed a concept truck, which, even without the cab, has the company’s modular system at the heart of the design. As different industries look to streamline transport assignments and make them more sustainable, self-driving vehicles are increasingly being considered. Mines and large closed construction sites are examples of environments that are favorable for self-driving pilots since they are well-controlled locations.” In short, it’s a sustainable concept that could have real world implications on what’s possible in the world of autonomous vehicles.
