Reviving the spirit of the iconic Volvo P1800, Cyan Racing’s latest creation, the P1800 GT Cyan Restomod, is a sleek fusion of classic design and cutting-edge engineering. Stemming from the rich heritage of the Polestar Racing Team, Cyan Racing has taken their expertise to a new level, transforming original P1800 models into bespoke grand tourers that embody the essence of performance and style.

Crafted over a meticulous 12-to-15-month period, each P1800 GT Cyan undergoes a comprehensive transformation process, resulting in a lightweight marvel with a part-carbon structure and updated chassis featuring a titanium roll-cage. The blend of carbon fiber and high-strength steel in the custom bodywork, which retains the classic lines of the 1960s design while adding modern touches like a trunk lid-set fuel cap and flared fenders, showcases Cyan Racing’s commitment to both tradition and innovation. Under the hood, a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine, tuned to deliver up to 420hp, pairs with a bespoke five-speed Holinger gearbox, propelling the GT Cyan from 0 to 60mph in just 4.1 seconds. With a weight just shy of 2,200lbs and a host of configurable options, including a metallic green paint job and a sand-colored interior, the P1800 GT Cyan promises a bespoke driving experience like no other. While pricing is yet to be disclosed, given the craftsmanship and performance on offer, it’s safe to say that the GT-spec model will command a price tag similar to its predecessor’s $700,000 mark.
