When we last visited the BMW 3.0CSL Hommage, we were cool with the aggressive design, but the color? Not so hot. Thankfully, BMW decided not to 86 the whole idea and went back to the proverbial drawing board resulting in this much more visually appealing second take. Making its debut at the Concours d’Elegance is the 3.0CSL Hommage R, so named to celebrate BMW’s successful motorsports history. And celebrate it does by shelving the headache inducing Golf yellow exterior in favor of traditional BMW racing colors that are contrasted nicely by a set of gold tone racing wheels. Oh yeah, it’s still not gonna be available anytime soon.
