The sheer variety of EVs that will one day roam the roads of the world will be staggering, and Danish bicycle brand Biomega wants to be part of that with an EV for the minimalists. Looking more like a life-size but stealthy toy car, the Biomega eschews the bulk and busyness of modern EVs and opts for the bare essentials. Though it has four doors, four seats, and four electric motors, it does it all with slick Scandanavian design that’s lean and efficient. The seats are lightweight mesh (instead of bulky cushions), the steering wheel is small with no buttons, and even the tablet looks more like a docked smartphone instead of a big touchscreen. The windows allow untrammeled views, and the cabin is light and airy. Range will be 100 miles (for urban jaunts), and the top speed will be 80 mph. Biomega plans to start production between 2021 and 2023.
