Okay, so the Quadrant House may not qualify as a Transformer, but it’s probably as close as you’ll get. Architect Robert Konieczny was inspired by an astronaut’s quadrant tool used to map out stars and used that as the basis for the fully automated moving room of this Polish home. The elongated room has full glass door sides, is fully motorized and stops via sensors when anything’s in the way. The mobile oom travels between the house’s living room and the spa area and redefines utility and beauty in a fresh way with glass doors that can be opened for full passage between rooms. The minimalist white home plays with light depending on the time of day and adds a new dimension to home design we’ve never seen before. It just might make cutting the lawn a bit more of a challenge.
