There have been quite a few impressive ping pong tables we’ve featured over the years, but none is as downright impressive as the Click-Clack Table Tennis Table designed by Robert Hendrick and offered by Railyard Studios. The massive table features a regulation size table and net, but that’s where the similarities to the standard end. The side pieces are actual rails from the Tennessee Coal & Iron Company (TCI Co) with over 100 years of service on each piece of rail. The “net” is made from a slightly newer piece of rail (1943 instead of 1904) and meets International Table Tennis Foundation requirements for regulation height and width. Because giant pieces of train rail aren’t exactly light, the entire piece sits on top of oak and hickory timbers salvaged from the railroad tie plant. Each piece is cataloged and individually numbered with an authentic railroad date nail and a provenance certificate.
