If it wasn’t for a last-minute decision by George Lucas, Episode VI of the Star Wars saga would have gone by the title Star Wars: Revenge of the Jedi. Fearing “revenge” wasn’t an appropriate Jedi aspiration, Lucas scrapped the title in favor of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Since this decision came shortly before the film’s release, a collection of promotional posters were already made with the original title. This is one of them. Up for auction through Sotheby’s, this Star Wars: Revenge of the Jedi poster is perfect for an uber-fan. Presented in excellent condition, the 41″ x 27″ print is expected to fetch somewhere between $1,800–$3,300, which isn’t insane for such an interesting piece of Star Wars memorabilia.
