Sergey Makhno Architects Rose House is a private residence situated in the Ukrainian mountains with 160 square meters of space and an architectural profile that’s probably best described as gorgeously spartan. The guesthouse is built out of concrete, weathering steel and glass—along with a focus on water as an architectural element—with a deceptively simple exterior that hides some serious sophistication on the inside. The interior layout works perfectly with the huge amounts of light from the floor to ceiling windows and an open floor plan with transformational zones that can be converted by moving walls around. Between the juxtaposition of the house and the nature that surrounds it, or the concrete construction of the terrace with the pool, or just the natural reflections off the windows that transform the space, this is one gorgeous piece of real estate that we’d love to throw a party in.
