There are desks, and then there are odes to the desk, shrines within themselves that command lesser desks to bow down. Such is the case with the Brigham Desk from Ralph Lauren Home, a chic, sleek escritoire in crotch mahogany that sits (almost effortlessly as if sent from the heavens) atop a polished stainless steel base. But as much as we adore this holy grail of woodgrain and workspace, we have to admit that we probably wouldn’t get much done at it. It’s hard to type and worship at the same time.
