We’re well aware of the fact that you can check the time on a number of devices on your person or within arms’ reach whenever you need to, but that will never change the fact that we love big, bold clocks. Even without smart notifications, a lack of connectivity, and a singular purpose, clocks like this Pendulux Orbit Table Clock check all the boxes for things we want in our home or office. In addition to looking incredible–thanks in no small part to the late 1950’s “space-age” automobile dashboard instrument inspiration–this cool timekeeping device is made of solid cast aluminum with heavy convex glass, period-style hands, brass details and a polished aluminum case. It might not have come out of a home next to a nuclear testing facility… but it certainly feels and looks like it could have, which is why we give it top marks.
