What’s the first thing you think of when you think of a ping pong table? (Forrest Gump doesn’t count.) It’s probably a big, green behemoth made of medium density fibreboard (MDF) that folds in half, has too many legs and wheels. There have been upgrades over the years with changes in table top color and leg design, but most tables are still made with MDF and not as interesting as a permanent fixture of your home or office should be. Until Travis Mathew’s Ping Pong+ table. Custom handcrafted in Orange County, California by an expert craftsman, each table is made-to-order using 1/8″ wall structural steel and a 300 pound sheet of perfectly polished edge glass. All of the steel is finished with an automotive quality paint job, and the service lines are set below the glass for a pristine, unmarked top. The legs are also inset from the edges of the table so your knees won’t become casualties of a particularly heated session.
