There was a time not all that long ago when men wore hats, women wore stockings in public, the appletini didn’t exist and you could actually smoke inside. Finding a place like that now is all but impossible unless you pop in a film noir movie. Or at least that’s the back story behind the Fulton’s Clip Joint Playing Cards from Brad Fulton. What started as a fascination with cinema, history and the art of the grift has been turned into these limited edition playing cards with original artwork by Dan Phillips. Each pack comes to you encased in a lined box with embossed ornaments, foil stamping and some of the best design work we’ve seen outside of Theory 11. Don’t ride a bicycle to your next card game when you can roll up in the equivalent of a Porsche. Manhattans, fedoras and “dames” not included.
