Frank Lloyd Wright designed the home you see here in 1938 for Edith Carlson, a retired school teacher. First thought? What the hell were they paying teachers back then? Second thought? This thing is a stunner that we’ve never seen before. We’re not the only ones unfamiliar with this work by the late architect, as it was previously undisclosed to the public for reasons of privacy. Well, consider it un-undisclosed. Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the two-bedroom, 1,300 sq-ft home looks comfortable on the 10-acre property, as Frank Lloyd Wright’s structures often do. An old-growth forest helps conceal the rich wood home while a clean lawn slopes with the roof. Complete with patio, deck, gated drive, multiple fireplaces, a workshop, and an outbuilding, the home is refined yet far from splashy. And for $1.2 million, it’s far from the priciest Frank Lloyd Wright concocted structure out there.
