Soap isn’t generally considered very manly. It’s an absolute necessity if you don’t want to feel and/or be disgusting, but that’s about it. Men don’t go to stores like Bath and Body Works looking for new fragrances to put in their bathroom. We need one bar of soap, and the odds are it came from whatever prescription/drug/big box store happens to be the closest. Thanks to the Internet, you don’t have to go past the mailbox to step it up in the soap department. Blackbird’s new soap set is made of (you probably don’t really care, but we’re inclined to tell you anyway): saponified olive, coconut, essential oils, beeswax, shea butter and activated charcoal. Released to commemorate the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, each of the black 2.5″ cubes bears an overhead view of Mt. St. Helens and is handmade in Washington. It’s something we didn’t know existed–soap that looks cool.
