While we certainly consider ourselves to be discerning, astute drinkers that would easily choose a craft beer over the other mass produced options on the market, there’s always a time and a place for mass market, drinkable, and comes in thirty-pack tailgate beers. PBR–aka Pabst Blue Ribbon–will always be near the top of our list even if hipsters have moved onto another big budget domestic because it’s a quality, goes-down-easy, absurdly drinkable brew that epitomizes everything you want in a cheap beer. But we’re not here to talk about average PBR, we’re here to talk about the two new beers they’re introducing for 2019. In honor of the 175th anniversary of the brand, the famed blue ribbon is introducing the new PBR Extra and PBR Non-Alcoholic brews to celebrate both the teetotaler and the discerning beer consumer that wants a little bit higher ABV from their everyday PBR brews.
