The beauty of the Alaskan wilderness warrants experiencing at least once in your life, and what better way to do so than by rail car and with an ample supply of beer? Well, Alaska Railroad is doing just that with its 2019-2020 winter “Hops on the Rail” tour where passengers can visit Alaskan breweries courtesy of Big Swig Tours. The Aurora Winter Train heads north to Talkeetna, AK for three hours and visits four breweries in the process. $329 buys you a one-way ticket with separate return transportation, at least 16 beer tastings, a boxed lunch, and at least one unplanned nap. We think it’s so worth it, and we want to leave right now.
