What started as an experiment in transformation, reconstruction and repurposing, designed to return paper to something like its original state, turned into a new collection of eyewear made with actual newspaper. Using a proprietary technique, they create small “logs” that are made of 1600 feet of wound newsprint, and then slice it into thin pieces to reveal the unique, wood-like texture. After that, it gets inlaid into four of the Canby models or turned into the new, all newspaper Canby Select Newspaper (which is limited to 50 pieces).
