We’ve gone through our share of trends when it comes to sneakers. We’ve slapped inflatable pumps on tongues, tricked ourselves into thinking rubber Shox would give us more ups and we’ve deified more basketball players than there are in March Madness. One thing has always remained constant though, we will always gravitate towards classic styles. The Nike Cortez, originally released in 1972, leaves us with a sneaker option devoid of bells, whistles, air-pockets and colors reminiscent of an 80’s sitcom intro. Just black or white leather and suede is all that these Nike Cortez ’06 sneakers need to make us salivate. Since they’re $70 we’ll have cash for all the desert boots and more formal options we need as well.
