In the not so distant past we spent some time talking about the new Shinola Runwell Watch. There were a lot of things to love about that watch–especially the fact that it’s built in Detroit. Because of the quality, attention to detail and US production, Shinola was tapped by a huge Detroit powerhouse to produce a watch for a pretty momentous occasion. The 50th Anniversary of the original pony car, the Mustang, is in 2014, and Ford had Shinola produce 1,000 special edition watches to commemorate it. It’s decked out almost exactly like you’d expect a Mustang watch to be: mustang logo, stainless case with rotating top ring, domed sapphire dial and black leather strap.
