We never thought we’d see the day when we’d be willing to spend a pretty penny on a short bus, but that day is here. Using a 1959 Chevrolet Viking short bus as the base for a restoration, Winkelman Architecture has created something familiar but altogether different. The gorgeous restoration is designed to safely travel 12 passengers with the comfort of two single beds (or joined as one queen), toilet, sink and power (120v and 12v). It also has a table with bench seats, storage, exposed wood and gas pipe fixtures for good measure. It’s everything you ever wanted in a camper—think Airstream except it doesn’t require another vehicle—except it was a one off that isn’t for sale.
