What-to-Watch-This-Weekend-The-Deuce

With cable, Netflix, and internet options, finding the best thing to watch during your downtime is difficult. Instead of flipping through menus all weekend and settling on nothing, turn to What to Watch This Weekend, a series in which we give you our pick for the best new show or movie available.

Game of Thrones has left a chunk of vacant time in our Sunday evenings and, if we’re being honest, we can’t imagine another show filling it properly. This weekend, HBO is going to try with the launch of The Deuce, a new show about the rise of the porn industry in NYC in the 1970s. If you’re of a certain age, you remember when 42nd Street was 42nd Street. Well, “The Deuce” was a nickname for that stretch of road and the show bearing its name delves fictionally into its formative years. The legal porn industry is on the up and up, the area is changing and so are the people living and working in it. Starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, and with words by David Simon, the show carries with it a lot of star power. Will it be Game of Thrones level good? That will be tough. But we are plenty excited for TV again on Sunday night.

Ah, the waffle weave. Looks cool, feels great, reminds us of toasted Eggos. You’ve seen them before–probably in a fancy store or hotel–but Parachute’s brand new Waffle Towels are different. They’re spun using innovative Aerocotton Technology, which basically means they’ll be dry by the time your significant other finally gets out of the shower and realizes you stole their towel. Parachute’s Waffle Towels come in two sizes and two neutral colors. Plus, their 100% cotton construction means they start soft and only get softer with time. Even Kevin McCallister would approve.
