There are two certainties in life–age brings wisdom, and we all get old. When we do, we end up sitting on barstools sharing dirty stories from our glory days our wisdom with other old folks over cocktails like Satan’s Whiskers, the Singapore Sling, and the Rusty Nail. The bad news is, shortly after all this, we die. The good news is, someone has written a book so those of us who thankfully haven’t reached that stage of life can still glean the wisdom and the drink recipes. Old Man Drinks: Recipes, Advice, and Barstool Wisdom is a compendium of good drinks, sage advice, and wisdom for the common man. Basically it’s all the important bits, but without the price of getting old and incontinent.
