If you really want to save a few bucks, start making small changes in your energy usage. It might take a little while to add up, but you’ll be no worse for the changes and will have a few extra bills in your wallet. A small way to start is with Outlink. The outlet lets you monitor your energy usage and even turn it on or off remotely or set a schedule. Use the bottom outlet as you would any normal outlet, and use the smart top outlet to help keep a tab on your energy use. Plus, since it’s controlled by an app, you can shut off a TV you accidentally left on, or even turn on the A.C. right before you get home.
