Lint rollers are the devil. They generate a huge amount of waste. They’re expensive. They take a few attempts to do their job correctly. Unfortunately, unless you want clothing completely covered in fur or hair, they’re a necessary evil. The big box plastic ones that require $5 refills are a thing of the past thanks to Kaufmann Mercantile’s release of this Natural Rubber Lint Brush. Each brush is handmade with a German beechwood handle and natural rubber collected from caoutchouc trees. Using static electricity and elbow grease, the 7 1/2″ long brush will get all the shit off your clothes with the rubber bristles. When you’re done, rinse it with water and put it in a bag so it doesn’t collect ambient dust. It’s not exactly cheap, but it will pay for itself in the long run because you won’t be buying sticky label refills for that other plastic roller you have.
