jack_daniels-mr_jack-160th_birthday

Long before there were status updates, tweets, and Kanye West there was Jack Daniels. Remember those family trees you had to do in grade school? Jack Daniels was founded long before the first ancestor you could ever come up with. And now the whiskey is 160 years old. To commemorate one of the world’s best selling spirits, they’re bottling a special edition in an all black bottle. The only way to celebrate this birthday is the same way you celebrate any other, by getting completely hammered. Except this time you get to do it with the drink of Senators (Lem Motlow – proprietor – actually got elected to help repeal prohibition) and have a cool collectors item to put on your shelf instead of just pictures you’ll regret later.

Pappy-Van-Winkle-Hot-Sauce

Pappy Van Winkle is the name in bourbon. Bottles have sent drinkers on wild goose chases and left others with empty bank accounts. While we can’t help you procure any of that elusive elixir, we can bring a little Pappy into your life in another way. Pappy Van Winkle Hot Sauce is aged in actual Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels. The distillery teamed with friends at Midland Ghost to make this flavorful hot sauce, which features the latter’s prized first generation Ghost Peppers. After the sauce was made, it was left to age in barrels that once held Pappy. That means you have a sauce that’s rich, oaky, and full of flavorful heat. Use it on meats, veggies, or, if you’re a special brand of crazy, just drink it straight from the bottle. It’s that good.
