Gone are the days of the bargain basement four pack of 40W incandescent bulbs because LED bulbs are more energy efficient, longer lasting and cheaper (in the long run). Spiral CFL bulbs are great for all those reasons, but they’re not exactly what we’d call display pieces. Layers in Design has a new line of 3D-printed skyscraper bulb covers that hang from your ceiling like some of the inverted architecture from Inception or Upside Down. Appropriately named the Stalactite collection, each of the lights is based on a famous building and includes everything you need for a ceiling installation (5.5W LED bulb, lamp holder, ceiling cap and 2.5m of cable) except a qualified electrician.
