We’ve watched so many Kickstarter product videos for pens that they all blend together. Ideation sketches. Micrometer testing. Ink refill shots. Cap operation. Takumi is a pen from the new startup from Tronnovate Design Laboratory, and it has all those obligatory Kickstarter shots. It does everything a good Kickstarter pen should do. Write. Look good. Come in a variety of finishes like chrome, matte silver and bead-blasted black. It takes over fifty different refills. It has a minimal design. There are even cap options available in different styles. The project was already a winner before they revealed their secret weapon–an adjustable length head. Anywhere from 5mm to 15mm, you decide how long you want the head to be, which obviously adjusts the overall length of the pen as well. An internal clamp mechanism holds the head right where it belongs and, more importantly, what works best for you.
