Basically the Lucky 13 from Blackbird is the guitar equivalent of a Tesla Roadster – big performance, little frame. Stealing its name from the unique 13th fret neck connection the Lucky 13 is a traveling guitar that gives you the big sound and tonal quality of a bigger body model. The guitar sports a hollow neck and sturdy one-piece carbon fiber construction – perfect for any Blues Brothers-eque bar gigs where your six-string might get knocked around a bit. Plus, since it is built from carbon fiber you don’t have to worry about any humidity issues when storing your new Blackbird. Each is handcrafted out in San Francisco by a small team of luthiers, who apparently, yes, do still exist.
