Unbeknownst to most, Carlsberg created a pure yeast over a century ago and distributed it for free to other breweries to combat beer sickness and widespread inconsistencies in repeated brews. The Re-Brew project uses an extracted sample of that original yeast from a 133-year-old Carlsberg bottle recently discovered in an old cellar to recreate the Father of Quality Lager that started it all in the late 1800s. Made with the original pure yeast, exact same recipe, ingredients and brewing techniques from 1883, Father of Quality Lager is an authentic way to drink your way back through history.
